Description

The sidewalks and concrete railings along the bridge are in rough shape. I don't know if this is a winooski/burlington issue or Vtrans, but hopefully there are some longer term plans to fix up this main route in the near future.

The picture in the original post is a Google Streetview from 2012. The bridge/sidewalk/railings look much worse now. In many places (like the original pic) the concrete has completely disintigrated and all that is left is exposed rebar.

Per Technical Services - THE CITY OF BURLINGTON AND CITY OF WINOOSKI are working together to hire an engineer to design the repair or replacement of various railing sections and portions of sidewalk before the work can go out to bid to a contractor. The current project schedule has this work set to start spring 2018.
