Potholes on Market Street are dangerous. They can damage your car, or create an accident as people swerve into the oncoming lane to avoid them. What is being done to take care of these, and why wasn't it taken care of when the road was closed last summer???

Potholes city wide are being tended to this week. On a more permanent note the Market St. Reconstruction Project will begin this spring; it involves the full depth reconstruction of Market St., so very soon the pothole issues of today will be a distant memory.
Last year's project was a culvert replacement project. It was funded by an entirely different federal agency then our upcoming Market St. project, thus combining the two projects, that we on their own separate schedules, was not possible.
